The Faltering Fullback, is off the beaten track, nestled away on a leafy residential street in Finsbury Park. It's an enchanting Irish pub, adorned in ivy, and has become the best worst-kept secret in London. 

​

This is a Rugby hot spot, the Sin Bin is a designated area within the pub intended for a mass of sports fans to come together to enjoy big match days. This room is set with rows of picnic tables, and two large TV screens, the walls are draped in signed rugby jerseys, flags, scarves, and sport-related props. The stage, piano, and microphones are then swiftly put into action ready for live music to be belted out late into the evening.

The Auld Shillelagh opened in 1991 it was just a tiny pub consisting of the bar, some bar stools and a single toilet with a dart board on the door.

Over 20 years have passed and the pub is now 3 times longer with a beer garden out the back that faces the sun for most of the day. They have live music every week and show all the major sporting events on multiple big screens.

They also still take pride in looking after our beers, the Guinness is regularly touted by reviewers and customers alike as the best in north London, the atmosphere is friendly and welcoming and they claim would put their bar staff up against the best of them.
